Q: Can you crush/shred my HDD’s?

A: Yes. In most cases we would advise the client to consider erasure over physical destruction due to the financial and environmental benefits, however; we do offer both crushing and shredding onsite and offsite.

Q: What products do you use?

A: We use a combination of erasure products ranging from basic to premium. If you require us to use a premium product on your equipment, we are happy to do so. For physical destruction, we use our own fabricated crushers and can shred into 25mm, 19mm, 15mm, 9mm and 6mm particles.

Q: Where do you collect from?

A: We are based in the south east and that’s where our strong-hold is. Most of our clients have multiple offices spanning all of the UK if not Europe and beyond. We are happy to cover anywhere in the UK and most of Europe using our own logistics. Everywhere else is covered using our extensive partner network encompassing APAC, EMEA and AMER.

Q: What info do you need for a quote?

A: We only need the basics to provide you with a quote. Quantity of equipment, location and any site-specific information which may inflate costs/work required (out of hours, parking restrictions, lift availability etc). The more information the better but we are happy to caveat where we need to.

Q: What paperwork will I receive?

A: On the day you will receive a Collection Manifest, which is signed by both parties and transfers the ownership and liability of the goods to us. All of the other paperwork you will be able to access using your own direct login to our database. From there, you will able to access the Item Status Report and Data Destruction Certificates for each individual pickup.

Q: Do you offer “Free Collections”?

A: Yes, we do, but our services are not free. Where possible we can use the value in the sanitised hardware to subsidise or even completely eliminate the cost of collection and processing. If this is not the case, we will have to apply a charge. This will be made clear in advance.

Q: How do you compare to other IT Asset Disposal companies?

A: It’s very difficult to get an accurate comparison as every disposal is different. If you are thinking of using our services, get one or two old asset lists together and send them to us. We are happy to evaluate this and give you an indication of what we would have given back/charged you for it. If you don’t have those reports to send over – you should definitely be using our services!

Q: How quickly can you collect and turn a collection around?

A: We are normally booked up around a week in advance, so you should not have to wait long for a collection. From the date of collection, we aim to turn it around within 30 days, but normally it’s a bit sooner than that!
